Kristen TenDyke - Ivy Leaf Shawl

  Ivy Leaf Shawl
This shawl was designed for my International Scarf Exchange 4 pal. The main lace pattern is from one of Barbara Walker's stitch books. It's an absoultely BEAUTIFUL pattern that I'm super happy with the way it came out. I've never worked on lace this complicated, so it was a slight challenge for me, but I enjoyed it none-the-less.

A provisional cast on is used for the center of the shawl. One half is worked then bound off. Stitches from the provisional cast on are picked up and worked in the other direction for the other half of the shawl. That way the leaves will be facing the same direction when wrapped over the shoulders.
