Fresco Shrug     When Fresco was a brand new yarn, Pam Allen asked me to come up with a shrug design. I brought home the single ball of sample yarn that was available at the time, and spent a weekend swatching. I first started with this intriciate chevron knit and purl pattern, but the texture was too complicated to show off the delicate halo of the yarn. I tried some other patterns—some lace and some cables—before deciding to make this shrug with one of my favorite, basic stitch patterns—seed stitch.       $6.00 Pattern available as a downloadable pdf.
