The other day, my feet were cold… which made me pretty chilly all-over.
This made me start thinking of fall, and what would feel good against my skin during the chilly weather. I do this sometimesI imagine what would feel good on my body at that time, then I design it.
The first thing that came to me was the texture and feelbulky and soft (thick yarn) and warm (garter stitch), but not too heavy (oversized needles)!
I began swatching some garter stitch with Quince & Co's Puffin and size US 15 needles.
I loved it.
I sketched out a quick outline for the shape of a finished piece,
and added in some detail notes.
I frogged the first swatch and swatched again with some of the detail elements incorporateddart shaping, cast on sleeves, short rows and increases for cap shaping.
